Hi,

User jarvdrill
My bike is 1996 GSF 1200 S, 68000 kms. paid 4000. Rode 670 kms. on first day i got it, didn,t miss a beat.Ride daily to and from work in Mt Isa.
Looking to prepare the bike for a road trip. Want tyres, brake pads, new chain and sprockets. Anyone got a good combination of front and rear sprockets for long hauls. What about parts? Want to buy spare alternator, starter motor and engine rebuild kit to have on the shelf at home. Also want spare oil cooler and clutch and brake master cyls. Bike turns 16 in July and wish to refresh these components.
Anyone can help, please reply.

Cheers from Jarvdrill.

Hi Jarvdrill and welcome aboard. Sounds like a good trusty workhorse you have there. Sure you will be able to source most parts online. Enjoy.

Jarvdrill,
I'm and old Isan boy and used to ride an old 78 SR500 to work at R62 many moons ago. I would not even contemplate it now though with the attrocious road conditions in the old town. It would be a road trail for me around town at least.
Oh yeah welcome to the forum.
