Years ago as a young solider I stayed in a barn during an exercise and there was this dirty old 1942 Indian resting amongst a pile of other crap. Twice the farmer when he came over offered it to me. Not sure whether he was taking the piss or serious I kindly said no thanks. I kick myself to this day. I love them best out of all of the old bikes.

LOL - if I were riding a Britten, I really wouldn't mind!!
there is only 10 of them in the world, & next February when I'm in Wellington I'll be getting a closer look at the one in the National Museum.
I did see one running at Ruapuna many many years ago, & it was something else!

Its not well known but some of the design of this beautiful Britten came from the mechanics of high performance prosthetics John and his crew engineered like the Frame-less chassis with engine acting as a stressed member and one for Gus the Carbon fibre fasteners (joining body work together). Smile

Next to the Pavlova and Split Ends its the best thing to come out of NZ Wink

it's a shame that John was unable to hang around for longer - i'd have loved to see what he would have come up with next, let alone how the V1000 would have evolved.
