I have just purchased a 2010 GSF 1250s with a two brothers aftermarket pipe,my first Bandit was a 96 Bandit(loved it).The newer engine seems a bit stronger,is there any further engine(relatively inexpensive) mods to improve it further? I just travelled 800klms up the Burnett highway to Rocky after picking it up from Brisbane. Its a great ride and far less frustrating to ride than the Bruce Highway while the roadworks are on.
Cheers Miko

Hi Miko and welcome aboard. Love Rocky. Rode up there at Easter. My favourite Pub, The Great western, was SHUT. WTF. Yes there is plenty of cheap mods that you can do. Am sure you will get lots of advice from the 1250 brigade. Post up some pics. Enjoy.

Welcome Miko,

You've come to the right place mate. I had a GSX1250FA in Japan, but I sold it last month. Great bike. I did the stage 1 mod on it and it was great. I have a 2007 B1250S with Stage 2 mods and it hammers. Check out the mechanical posts for info. Also check out holeshot.com for some tutorials on airbox mods, secondary butterfly valve removal etc.

Since you've already got a good can on it, the cheapest mod is to remove the secondary butterflies only takes about an hour.
Cheers

George

Welcome Miko.... most engine mods are way outside of my ability range... - Not bad with cosmetics or electricals but engine 'no'.. I'm sure if you ask here someone will know the answer though or at least be able to point you in the correct direction.. Arrow
