Hi all, from new FA owner near Frankston Victoria

Post  madmax on Wed 19 Oct 2011, 1:13 pm

Hi all, here is my new 1250fa that I just picked up from the dealership today. Haven't been very far on it yet but I'm loving it so far.

I'm thinking it needs a new exhaust as its too quiet, any suggestions?

Hi and welcome aboard MadMax. Nice ride. " Too quiet " and HEAVY ! You will shave off about 7kgs by just replacing the can. I like Staintune, cause the're good, and the're Aussie. Yoshis are also in there as well as many others. Do your homework. Enjoy.

Plenty of different exhausts to look at. Arrow do a full header and exhaust system if you want to replace the whole lot. It'll save you probably close to 15Kgs

Screaming Demon look alright and are pretty cheap as well.

LOL, it wasn't really all that clean. The dealer had hosed off the dust and let it dry of in the sun.

Thanks guys. Smile

I've seen the Screaming Demons on Ebay for about $350 but i'm not so keen of the look of them. The staintune one looks better IMO.
Does anyone know how much I'm up for?

Welcome.
I have a Beowulf in CF 380mm.
IMHO the Staintunes are to long and skinny.
Work out whether you want oval, round or triangle then see what fits the pocket.

Hello and welcome. No pipe for me yet, still saving. Until then, I'll make my own noises and just keep cleaning the inside of my visor....! Laughing

Welcome to the Thunderdome, Madmax. I have the same bike with a Screaming Demon can. There are pictures in Product Review.

Plenty of good info here.

Enjoy the bike.
