What type of screen, Standard, sport touring or touring. is it for a Bandit S or N. or for the FA.

Re: Replace Screen
I have a Powerbronze tinted screen and it sucks. It doesn't align neatly and is asymetrical. And it causes a lot of turbulence.
I have ordered one of the cheap ones from a Brisbane mob on ebay and I will see how that is. I ordered it on the 23rd and it's still not here though.
If it isn't good, or it just doesn't arrive, I am going to order the Suzuki one.

Re: Replace Screen
Dont all screens cause turbulence though .No smaller type screen seems to work and the LARGE screens look like you really wanted a full on
tourer but couldnt afford it .My g\friend puts a screen on her Bonneville in winter and i find it nearly unrideable .She likes it so maybe i'm the wrong
height .Ive never found a bike with a screen that didnt cause my head to wobble .

Gus you need to polish your lid
I agree though but I can get into a pretty good position behind mine and I’m just over 6 foot.
I can’t keep my head still behind any sort of 4WD wagon though unless I’m about 4 seconds back. Most cars are ok and just riding on my own is fine. I notice the difference if I’ve been off the bike for a week or too. Must loose muscle tone quick
My commuting jacket is a shocker on the open road though so in some ways it depends on the gear you wear and what your expectations are. A different screen may not be better and could even be worse. I’d be trying a slight racers crouch and maybe a different lid before spending heaps on a screen.
A bigger screen would probably only result in a bigger low pressure area behind the screen.
We’re all different shapes and sizes though so who knows?

Re: Replace Screen
The stock screen is fine. I found that going to a decent helmet fixed the helmet buffeting problem. My old HJC was horrible, it would wobble and lift. The Shark RSR2 that I've had for about 2 years is brilliant, head stays still up to silly speeds. It is a fair amount noisier than the HJC, but earplugs fix that.

Let us know when it shows up. i have been looking at these myself on ebay. I like the standard screen but tinted would be nice

Re: Replace Screen
No, but if anyone has an OEM screen collecting dust I wouldn;t mind picking one up. Mine is scratched a fair bit and still has marking from when I was at the drags. The guy reckoned the white pen came off easily... not the case
