My thoughts are Bruce liked a smoke .No idea .

deuce means number 2 or shit ( drugs ?) & a runner is a whore(but one who`ll do anything including drugs ) so she was cut loose like she was on drugs like a drug taking whore .// early pearly is premature ejaculation & curly wurly means a conversation without any relevance & ride is a person to have sex with ( usually a male for a female ), so I take it someone who could make you cum early ( whore maybe ) wondered if he would be their sexual partner . it`s not surprising Bruce doesn`t want to explain what the song means I always thought blinded by the light was about something religious.
