Another Wellington NZ member,
Good evening guys,
Another Kiwi Bandit rider here. Three weeks ago I purchased a second-hand 2008 Bandit with the full touring kit. I've bought this after a couple of years on a Triumph Daytona 675 which wasn't really suited to riding with a pillion. The plan is to do a bit of touring around this beautiful country of ours with my fiance.
Being a rainy day today, I spent some time getting to know the bike a bit more intimately and adjusted the TPS and balanced the throttle bodies. Gave it an oil and filter change for good measure so I know it has been done.
Have had a good look around this site already and there is some good and interesting information shared around.
Looking forward to many happy years on our Bandit.
Regards,
Pierre

Re: Another Wellington NZ member,
Welcome. My mate Jimmy Bandit rode his 96 Gen 1 bandit from Collie in WA (200ish k's south of Perth) over to Tassie rode around for a bit and then went over to NZ for a while late last year. He got caught in the earthquake in christchurch and then rode all the way back home.
Only wish I had the time to do it with him.
Tassie and NZ would be fantastic riding.

Sure will, had a look at your blog. Wouldn't mind meeting up one day to have a look at your seat and feel the difference. Are you on Kiwibiker or part of Wellington Riders on facebook?kewwig wrote:Welcome from one Wellingtonian to another. Let me know if there's anything Bandit related you need a hand with.

Re: Another Wellington NZ member,
I picked my bike up from Christchurch. Luckily it survived the quake without any damage. They must sit really solid on that centre stand.reddog wrote:He got caught in the earthquake in christchurch and then rode all the way back home.

Kiwibiker under the same user name, although I don't spend a lot of time there as it seems pretty negative and combative a lot of the time. Not on Facebook. I am based in Petone. Send me a pm if you want to have a closer look at the gel seat or any other bits. I'll be at TSS Motorcycles Saturday at 12.30 for a WOF for it.
